Blessings All,
As I wrote in my previous post that I was going to share with you some of the places we stopped at, well the second stop was Maryland, Arlington Virginia and Washington D.C.
Since these three are near by, it was easy access to get around. We stood at our friend’s house and there was lots of love and laughter in Maryland. Then in the morning, we headed out to Arlington, VA to see the Arlington National Cemetery.
It was very beautiful, somber and peaceful and we were able to see the Kennedy’s burials as well.
After Arlington, we drove across to Washington D.C. to hit up some museums.
We visited the Smithsonian Museum of Natural History and the National Archives museum that took me back to the movie with Nicolas Cage “National Treasure”. ☺️ But this museum is home to the Declaration of Independence and the Bill of Rights and some other cool artifacts that unfortunately we couldn’t take pictures of. This place is a no photo zone so I encourage you to visit to see more of what’s inside.
Oh and yes the streets are filled with food trucks so we definitely had some dogs and pizza and chips for lunch.
Since it was my daughter’s 17th birthday, we also celebrated it at the Olive Garden for dinner.
Have a blessed weekend. 💕
