I went to sleep last night crafting in my head and today came up with this layout for my card template journal that I have been working on.
Here’s a sneak peek inside my journal I made with this cool layout I call “Mini gatefold on an A2 card”.
Mini Gatefold on an A2 Card
Card instructions:
You will need an A2 card base that measure 41/4 x 5 1/2
1 patterned paper measuring 4 x 5 1/4 as front panel
For mini gatefold, cut card stock at 2 1/2 x 4 1/2
Score one side at 1 , flip and score at 1 again and fold sides
Cut 4 pieces of patterned paper for the side and inside side panels at 1 x 2 1/2
Cover the center with a white card stock panel @ 2 3/8 x 2 3/8 and embellish as you like by embossing, inkblending, stamping, stickers ect. and close with a shaped sticker or die cut.
A rectangular sentiment can be added as well.

Oh, here's the front cover of my journal. My hubby helped me with the cover measurements on the cardboard I needed, then I glued on beautiful junk journal paper by AnnasPaperieShop and adhered some fabric and the crochet lace on the spine of the cover and then decorated the 5 x7 signatures with more of the same paper and then added different papers, stamps, scripture scraps from My Porch Prints then binded the journal with an elastic wrapping it 5 times to hold my 5 signatures all in place.
I'm really happy the way it turned out and its great for all the card template layouts I will be adding to it. This will be my first time owning a junk journal and my first time making one. So If I can do it , you can do it.
