Blessings to all my Mommy readers out there!
Tomorrow is a special day for us and what a blessing it is for sure to have children to nurture them, raise them, and train them in the way they should go.
Though it may be challenging at times, the rewards that come with motherhood is priceless.
My daughter wants to be a baker/ singer when she gets older so any time we can bake together it’s one step closer to her dreams.
We turn on some music and it’s singing time with baking time, messes included. LOL
Today we made beautiful red velvet rose mini cakes from a Duncan Hines box but with a twist.
Instead of 3 room temp eggs, 4 were used and instead of water, homemade buttermilk was used as well as with the oil directed on the box.
Unfortunately, we didn’t have buttermilk so I put a tablespoon in a cup then filled it with milk and let it sit for 5 minutes before giving it a quick stir.
Instant buttermilk!
My hubby got me these cute silicone rose molds and they were perfect.
I sprayed bakers joy into them and filled them with the very red cake batter and baked them for 18 min at 350 degrees.
They came out beautiful but later on, I filled them with Duncan Hines cream cheese frosting by using a 230 Bismarck Ateco tip.
Tomorrow after church my family and I will be getting together for Mother’s Day dinner and these beauties will be the main dessert.
Hopefully, you can bake these delicious cakes too using these molds. You can get them at Hobby Lobby, Michaels, or on Amazon.
My Mother’s Day weekend started earlier with my little boy bringing home my favorite brand of chocolates and my girl, flowers. A sweet surprise indeed!
Thanks to their daddy for making it happen. 💋
May you all have a beautiful and joyous Mother’s Day❤️
