Hello my lovely readers,
Lately, I have been on such a beautiful spiritual journey like never before. I’m learning more and more each day as I draw closer and closer to God and the Holy Spirit. But with that path, comes trials and the adversary, the enemy who always wants to see us defeated. He does that by attacking our bodies and our mind. He makes us think we are rejected, abandoned, not worth it, he tries to put confusion on us and so many other things that are contrary to what God says about us and wants us to do.
The sad thing is that sometimes we believe it and when we do, it begins to manifest in our lives. I remember when I was deeply depressed many years ago it was not a pretty site and it almost consumed me but Thank God, I surrendered my thoughts and my all to Jesus and I was able to defeat the devil. It did not happen in one day but gradually until the (son-shine) was all over my face again. Depression no longer has authority over me. The mind is definitely a battlefield so we have to ask the Lord to take captive all thoughts according to the obedience to Jesus Christ as the scripture states in the bible. Here's the entirety of the verse:
2 Corinthians 10:5 New International Version (NIV)
5 We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.
Unfortunately, the battle of the mind is constant until we are perfected in his glory but while we are still on this earth, the enemy will want to play with our minds and our hearts. So, we have to ask the Holy Spirit to arrest our thoughts. That phrase came to me a couple of days ago when I got up in the morning and it’s a powerful statement that truly becomes evident when you ask with a sincere heart. Crazy thoughts flee so that sanctified ones can filter in. I don’t know about you but I want to live in freedom without having thoughts that bind me.
If this is you, Pray this prayer:
Dear Jesus, I believe you died for me and rose for me on the third day, please forgive my sins.
I ask you to be Lord of my life. Holy Spirit, all these thoughts that the enemy wants to infiltrate in my mind, I ask you to arrest them in the name of Jesus and take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.
I am a new creation in you. I am not rejected, I am loved. I am not worthless,I am valuable. I am not weak, I am strong. I will not die, I will live. I am not defeated, I am more than a conqueror. I am not sick, I am healed. I am not ugly, I am beautiful. I am not abandoned because you love me and will never leave me.
Thank you Jesus, Amen
I hope today’s post inspired you and encouraged you to be free and to have a personal relationship with Jesus. Continue to seek more of his presence. Pray, read his word, listen to his voice and obey him and not the contrary thoughts. He truly loves you and me and wants us to be all set free.
Here’s some wonderful music I just recently heard and it has impacted my alone time with God in a great way!
