Hey my lovely readers, I hope you all enjoyed or are still enjoying you last days of Summer.
Well, over here we just started school and today was my first day of returning back to teaching homeschool to my 2 kiddos, now 6th and 7th graders.
We are all excited and can't wait to dig into fantastic subjects like Zoology, Geography, Photography, Language Arts, Bible and so on. This semester, I decided to only use one subject (Math) in www.mobymax.com. I have been with Moby Max for almost 2 years but as you homeschool, you see that there are many more other resources out there that suit your student's needs.
It is a great program and it's free unless you want to add other modules tailored for the child.
I'm also going to venture in the free online curriculum called Easy Peasy. This site goes into H.S. level but for now we will be doing their Middle School grade level.
I also decided to take advantage of FLVS Flex school ( www.flvs.net) also a free online curriculum but it's associated with the Florida public school system and thankfully they work with homeschoolers as well.
My kids will be very busy learning new and exciting things this semester and hopefully enjoying it at the same time. They will also be reading "A Wrinkle in Time and Wonder as part of their Language Arts with FLVS Flex.
Homeschooling is challenging but rewarding and my kids love it! If you are new to it and and looking for some Free online curriculums then check out the ones I mentioned. Again, the web has so much to offer when it comes to homeschooling and what may work for others, may not work for you and your family, so be patient, do the research and find what works best.
