Remember playing tea party when you were a little girl?
Well, last weekend I got to do a real one with my beautiful friend at her church. It was a ladies high tea where many women including little girls wore unique and fancy hats and gathered to converse, eat and drink tea or lemonade.
Here's how this tradition started years ago: High Tea
The themed tables in the massive church lobby were decorated by the hostesses. So, my friend lissette decorated hers with a vintage tea garden flair.
It looked so beautiful and it reminded me of a pristine garden tea party in the countryside like Alice in Wonderland.
The menu consisted of everything that was on the table.
We started with a spring salad, an assortment of scones, chicken salad on mini croissants, deli spirals, cucumber tea sandwiches, French almond macaroons, assorted petite fours and vanilla cream puffs.
Check out the other exquisite tables, I was so impressed.
There were also some vendors at the event and I was fortunate to meet two of them and exchange our info to possibly collaborate on the blog.
Kingdom Treasures and Lips and Lashes
I had such a wonderful experience at this fabulous event and all proceeds from the $10 admission tickets went to charity. I can't wait to attend the next one with my little girl.
Oh, playing dress up was so much fun! I took out my baby pink fascinator hat from Forever 21 (pillbox hat) and wore it with a white eyelet dress and pink pom pom heels.
I hope you enjoyed this post!
